I'm having difficulty installing an extension with Mac OSX, the Extension Manager will not recognize the extension. Is there a solution?

On some Mac OSX system with Dreamweaver MX or MX2004 the extension is sometimes not recognized and remains "grayed"" out in the file listing. The best approach to installing a Dreamweaver Extension on Mac OSX is to use the Finder.
1. Use the Finder to navigate to the extension, the .mxp file.
2. In the Finder, simply double-click the .mxp file.
3. The Extension Manager will open and install the extension.
