Vertical Scroller Magic v1.0.5 update

Updates VSM to fix a drag bar issue that only effects pages on which you have both a Vertical Scroller Magic and Horizontal Scroller Magic components.

Important...

This Update requires that the full Vertical Scroller Magic version 1.0.4 is already installed on your computer. It will not work otherwise.

Do you need the update?

You only need to update If your current Vertical Scroller Magic version is 1.0.4. To be certain, open Extension Manager and check your version number. If your current version is 1.0.4, you need to download the 1.0.5 Update:

Follow the instructions to find your order or to have your order history sent to you. Once you locate your order, you will have access to the download.

Tip: Save the downloaded update file to the same location that contains your original Vertical Scroller Magic extension file. Should you ever need to re-install, install the original version first, then the update.

Installation

  1. Double-click the downloaded MXP update file: P7_VSCupd_105.mxp
  2. When prompted to overwrite existing files, choose Yes To All
  3. Restart Dreamweaver to complete the update process

DO NOT Uninstall your current version. This is an update and requires that a full version is already installed on your system for a proper update. After installing the update, Extension Manager will list both the orginal (full) version and the update version.

Updating existing pages...

If your existing Vertical Scroller Magic component(s) was made using the original version of the product, you will need to follow this procedure:

  • Open a page that contains the Vertical Scroller Magic component(s) you want to update
  • Locate the p7vscroller folder
  • Locate the p7APscripts.js inside
  • Delete it
  • Dreamweaver asks if you'd like to Delete Anyway?
  • Click Yes
  • Go back to your page and place your cursor anywhere inside your Vertical Scroller component to open the interface as if you were going to edit the component.
  • Click OK

The system will generate a new script file.

Don't forget to upload the revised script file to your web server.
